Allyson Felix

Allyson Michelle Felix was born in Los Angeles on November 18 1985. Her father Paul Felix was an ordained minister at the Master's Seminary in Sun Valley, and her mother Marlean Felix was a school teacher at Balboa Magnet Elementary School. Felix had an early aptitude to play sports while in high school at Los Angeles Baptist High School. Felix discovered her athletic potential at the at the time. She finished second in the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championships within just 10 weeks after her very first tryout. Felix has graduated from high school in 2003 signed an agreement with Adidas. She then was accepted into an institution called the University of Southern California and pursued a degree in elementary education. Felix was presented with her first Olympic medal at the 2004's Summer Olympics in Athens Greece. Felix ran 200 meters in 22.18s, setting the new world junior record. She was the youngest world athlete to win the 200 meters at the Helsinki World Championships and defended her title in 2007 beating long-time Jamaican opponent Veronica Campbell. Felix took part at the Olympics at Beijing London Rio de Janeiro as well as Tokyo always finishing in the top three in all her races.
